We were always told that oily fish are the best sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. But fish, like humans, can’t produce these essential fats but get their Omega-3 from eating algae.
Our human body gets the Omega-3 from e.g. linseed oil, chia oil and walnut oil.
So, does Omega-3 work better from fish oil or from algae oil?
Well, as fish get their Omega from algae, algae-oil is the original and natural source of the Omega-3, but fish oil is a lot cheaper and that’s the only reason that most Omega-3 products are made from fish oil with the well-known negative consequences, such as animal suffering and overfishing of the seas.
Also, Omega-3 products, based on fish oil, is neither ecological nor ethically acceptable in the present time, we think!
So, stay safe and go vegan on Omega-3!
